- In 2006, he ran away from home to Nepal to raise money as a guide and start mountaineering.
- But when she reach in Nepal , the local people ask her and understood she ran away from home and they sent him home through the army.
- In the Year 2000 in her Amarnath expedition, hit by terrorist attack, and massive rain , but survived and returned with 100 passengers.
- But his relationship with the mountain is more intense.
- She Complete his Basic Course in Mountaineering in 2008 from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute.
- After that she completed advanced course in 2010.
- Mountaineer Piyali Basak climb so many peaks. She climb peaks like Mulkila-10, Mount Tinchengkang.
- The mountaineer Piyali Basak was part of the campaign organized by the state government’s WBMASF with women’s groups.
- She was a part of the Bhagirathi-2 mission in the year 2013, but unfortunately the mission was unsuccessful due to cloud burst.
